The Bled days are the days when Bled is crowded with tourists.
They come for a few days to see the production of local art craft and listen to concerts along the promenade.
The highlight of Bled days, which usually attracts most visitors, is the traditional Bled night, when the lake glows.
The organisers launch 15,000 lights in egg-shells (made by Andrej Vidic from Bled,
who prepairs them for some months and is supplied with the egg shells by the local Zima cake shop) in the water.
The Bled local partners will present themselves under the Taste Bled destination brand.
The purpose of the event is to revitalize traditional cuisine, expand the knowledge about traditional dishes,
all prepared and presented in a modern manner, and promotion.
The creative offer is inspired by the richness of local dishes.
Every day, visitors of this event will have the opportunity to taste traditional local specialities,
prepared from fresh, season ingredients and presented in a "street food" fashion.
The event is oriented toward sustainability and supports the Zero Waste movement,
since the Municipality of Bled joined the Zero Waste Society Project.
Small items and packaging from biodegradable materials (wood, bamboo, paper) are used to serve food.
Waste is collected separately and regularly disposed of at ecological zones at the venue.
At the ecological zones you will also be given advice with regard to waste separation.
