The remains were found in a tomb at the necropolis of Porta Sarno

A photo released by the Pompeii archeological park, shows a view of the tomb located in the necropolis of Porta Sarno in the east of Pompeii’s urban centre.

시신을 미라로 보존 처리한 듯 두개골 부분은 흰 머리카락으로 덮여 있었고, 왼쪽 귀도 일부 형태를 유지했다

The tomb features a facade decorated with green plants on a blue background and a room for burial.

비문 내용으로 볼 때 유골로 발견된 인물은 생전에 비너스 신전을 관리하던 사람일 것이라고 발굴팀은 추정

 또 비문에 언급된 ‘나흘간 라틴어 및 그리스어 연극을 개최했다’는 부분은,

고대 폼페이 속 그리스 문화의 존재를 증명하는 단서가 될 수 있다고 판단하고 있다.
