버스를 타고 사마르칸트 교외로 한참을 나왔다.

 

입구가 긴 이맘 알 부하리 기념관(Imam Al-Bukhari Complex)

In 12 km from Samarkand there is Imam Al-Bukhari Complex.  

  Imam Al-Bukhari was born in Bukhara in the 9-th century, and was buried near Samarkand.

 He collected and saved legends, some of which were brought in "The Sharia".

In total Imam Al-Bukhari streamlined about 7275 hadises.

In the XVI century over a grave of Imam Al-Bukhari Complex was erected the mausoleum.

In 1998 passed 1225 years since the birth of the Imam,

on a place of the mausoleum the memorial complex was constructed regarding to date.

The memorial complex includes mausoleum, mosques, an office building,

and also other constructions which are located on courtyard perimeter.

 In the center of a complex there is a mausoleum of Imam Al-Bukhari

which represents a cube topped with a 17 metre dome.

 

The door which is on the right side of the mausoleum, brings down to a dakhma - a worship place.

On the right side under sagany of the top floor is located grave of Al-Bukhari which is covered with marble. 

The mosque settles down on the left side of a courtyard. In the mosque can pray 1500 believers at the same time.

Walls of the mausoleum are decorated with green and white pigeons, and glazed tiles, and also with marble, onyx and granite.

Floors are made from girich. Ganch was used to furnish the mausoleum.

The dome is framed with a picturesque ornament from within.

 

 

 

 

Behind the mausoleum there is an educational center (dorus-Hadis) in which sciences about Hadis were taught.

 The memorial complex is a place of Muslim divine service.

It should be noted that Muslims equate it as a sacred place to a small hajj.

It is said: "If Mecca is a heart of the Muslim world, Samarkand is it's head”.
